SIM Factor received an order from ŠKODA for a train driver simulator in Latvia

SIM Factor as a subcontractor of Škoda Transportation received an order to build an EMU train simulator for Latvian passenger transport AS Pasažieru vilciens.

The project involves the construction of a SMART type simulation station with a full-size driver’s console and an instructor station. The simulator will be based on original ŠKODA components and SIM Factor proprietary software. New EMU vehicle will be recreated for the project, as well as 100 km of dedicated railway routes in Latvia. Additionally, SIM Factor will provide access to its wide-gauge base covering over 400 km of routes in Lithuania.

For SIM Factor, it is the first project implemented jointly with the Czech rolling stock manufacturer ŠKODA Transportation A.S.

The project is to be implemented in the second quarter of 2021.
