A module of SIM FACTOR’s railway simulator with which it is possible to monitor power consumption on a given route. The module supports the entry of model data, which are a point of reference for the current consumption during a training session, or integration with external sources of data, e.g. from electricity meters collecting data from specific locomotives.
The instructor who conducts the training using eco-driving module can always change the consumption model by saving the last travel as the model, if its values were better than the previously saved ones.
The module also has a physical element installed in the simulator cabin. The module uses a green and a red diode to inform the train driver of driving within the model consumption standards, departing from the model or returning to normative consumption.
