SIM Factor will build a tram simulator for Ostrava

SIM FACTOR as a STADLER subcontractor will deliver a TANGO NF2 tram simulator for Dopravní Podnik Ostrava a.s. (DPO). The simulator will be a unique solution in the Czech Republic and Europe. The project involves full-scale reconstruction of the cabin based on original components, a 4K display system based on large-format monitors, the whole solution will be set on a 6-degree freedom platform (6-dof). In the cabin you will be able to move along mapped streets of Ostrava covering over 60 km of lines, with dynamic movement of vehicles and pedestrians. The simulator will be based on the SIM FACTOR software. The project for Ostrava is to be implemented in the third quarter of 2020.

For SIM FACTOR, this is a breakthrough project, expanding the portfolio of solutions offered by the company with tram and city traffic simulators. It should be noted that in December 2019  SIM FACTOR together with STADLER delivered most modern full-scale simulator in Poland, the STADLER FLIRT 3 for Mazovian Railways.
